We are looking for an appellate attorney who enjoys advocating for veterans at Court, but has seen enough of the typical law firm work environment to know that there can and should be something better. But we need you to bring Veterans Court experience to the table. We need you to come in the door ready to take on appeals. More experience is always better, but we need one of these types of CAVC experience, at a minimum: * 3 years handling cases before the CAVC (if your firm hasn't let you brief yet). * Fully-briefed at least 10 cases to the CAVC, and/or * Clerked 2-years at the CAVC Let us know cause numbers from the Court's public docket that you think showcase your best advocacy and writing. Benefits for Full Time employees (after probationary period): * Competitive Salary based on your experience and location * ACS pays 100% of premiums for health, dental, short/long term disability, and basic life insurance. * Full-time employees start at 2 weeks PTO per year (no cash-out option available). * The Firm is closed for all federal holidays and general Election Days. Full time employees are paid for these holidays. * After 1,000 work hours, full-time employees are eligible for Firm’s 401(k) plan, with employer matching 3% of employee’s base salary, and profit-sharing distributions annually, depending upon Firm profitability * Rolling 12 weeks Family Medical Leave Time (6 weeks of which are paid). * It is our goal to fully close the firm for 3 weeks around the winter holidays (with full pay for all FT employees), and we have met that goal for the last 4 consecutive years. * Firm provides for all employees to have complete access to the Headspace App (for meditation, mindfulness courses, etc.). * Continuing Legal Education opportunities, membership in industry organizations, state bar licensing fees and malpractice premiums paid by firm.
