Jon C. Heiden

Jon Heiden joined Attig Steel in October 2023 as an experienced Veterans Court and civil appellate attorney.

While in law school, Jon realized that his passion for appellate advocacy and pursuit of justice aligned in representing veterans at the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims—where he has since represented hundreds of veterans.

Jon’s principal area of practice is appellate advocacy before the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Jon manages the Veterans Court Practice at Attig | Steel, supervising the representation of all of the firm's clients with appeals before the CAVC.

He serves on the amicus committee for the National Organization of Veterans Advocates (NOVA) and is an active member of the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims Bar Association.

Jon graduated in 2018 from the University of Wisconsin Law School where he served as an editor of the International Law Journal, a two-time competitor in national mock trial competitions, and a student advocate for the Wisconsin Innocence Project.

Jon currently practices remotely out of Brookfield, Wisconsin, where he resides with his wife and two boys.
